"J" is for JUNK : :Alphabe - Thursday

As we zip through the Alphabet each week, joining Jenny Matlock's Alphabe - Thursday, I thought of a lot of things again.

I have to go to a very boring awards dinner with my Hubs tonight, stuff is piled up in 2 rooms, ready to be sorted, donated or thrown away but I'd rather be here writing so I can face that dinner later tonight.

Maybe I should just rent a huge garbage container, put it in the driveway and fill it up...

Am I posting too much each week for Alphabe - Thursday ? Oh, well, whatever...

This week's Letter is "J" and since I am in process of getting rid of stuff at our house, a very slow and tedious process, I thought the perfect word was JUNK ... Go HERE to see all the other wonderful submissions...

LinkJUNK mail...it is the bane of my existence every day the mail is delivered and just when I think I'm rid of it, a new pile arrives...

JUNK heap...where nearly everything you worked so hard for eventually goes when you die 'cause your kids don't want any of your JUNK, they have enough of their own JUNK to deal with ...
JUNK food...Ahhhhh, the pleasure of it as it hits your taste buds, the supreme feeling of greasy, crunchy, gooey goodness and blessed take out convenience...

...the JUNK sweets we eat to keep our ' sweet tooth' happy with all those yummy, scrumptious delights...

The neighborhood JUNK shop, where " one man's JUNK is another man's treasure "...

And if you're real lucky, you might just star as a cantankerous JUNK man in a T.V. sitcom...

This place is solid as a rock,
a fortress, like they say,
"in time the Rockies may tumble,
Gibraltar may crumble,
they only made of clay,
but my JUNK is here to stay ! "
~ Fred G. Sanford ~

BTW, I thought of ' JUNK in the trunk' too...

This is a great post and can I ever sympathize. I have tons to do here, and yet I baked a cake, had some tea and did a post! Only adding to my junk in the trunk! xo

What a wonderful picture of a junk shop!

Okay, I agree! But, I really think the banana split should be kept out of the junk pile, and passed around for us all!

Well, those French fries sure look good! Did you know that is probably my biggest food weakness? You have just tempted me, and I have to go out in a bit and will be going right by a McDonalds! NO!!!

I'm with you on the junk mail. My recycle bin is always filled to overflowing because of all the junk mail we get.

After you go to the boring dinner, I think you should enjoy that banana split as a reward.

Love,
Patti

So many kinds of junk!
May I brag to say I don't keep hardly any junk? I'm one to clean up and out continuously but then there's stuff down the road I wish I hadn't thrown out.
Maybe I should keep just a little junk.
Fun post for J.

Nonna, Rod thinks all the stuff I save is junk, until he asks me if I have it and I tell him that I threw it out because he MADE ME!!

I enjoyed reading this post. My partner once kept all his junk mail for a year, then made a piece of artwork from it. There was an awful lot of paper...

Junk is certainly everywhere but it definately is in the eye of the beholder - especially where men and women are concerned - Hee hee.

Nonna! I loved this little jaunt through the letter "J".

Maybe you should have taken a box or two of junk to sort through while you were at the boring event. I bet your husband would have loved that - NOT!

Junk in the trunk totally cracked me up. I wish that's where all my 'junk' from the 'junkfood' was stored...and not on my behind!

Thanks for linking.
